STEM Instructor- TRIO Scholars Academy, Collinsville Program (Counselor / Tutor) (11260)

The STEM Instructor will teach STEM related courses to students in the TRIO Scholars Academy, Collinsville program. The courses will be held after school hours and on Saturdays during the academic year and throughout the week in the summer months.  The selected candidate will coordinate and prepare STEM activities as well as provide instruction and tutoring.  The Instructor will also keep accurate documentation and records of student attendance, services provided, and student outcomes.  Further duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the program. Position is approximately ten hours per week during the academic year (September - May) and will increase to around twenty hours during the summer months.  A majority of these hours will be completed during out of school time periods (after-school, weekends, and summer sessions).

-Master's degree in a STEM related field.
-Two years or more of STEM teaching experience with high school students.
-Two years or more of STEM experience coordinating STEM related projects/events.
-Experience working with at-risk teens (low-income; first generation college bound).
