Illinois Residency Requirement: This position requires current Illinois residency to apply.

 

The Department of Transportation Services is seeking a full-time Accounting Officer. The candidate will perform tasks relative to the overall control of the scheduling, fueling, maintenance and dispatch of University vehicles. Routine duties will include but are not limited to:

-Assist with the preparation of vehicle operating and maintenance reports.-Responsible for general service calls and billing questions.

-Assists with the University driver approval process, invoicing, bills of lading, p-card reconciliation, purchase orders, AP invoices, rental statements, mail distribution and ordering of supplies.

-Responsible for file approval, management, and job costing.

-Enforces user compliance with safety rules, regulations, and measures to protect the safety of employees and customers.

Further duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the department.

            9 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)

  • Course work in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

            30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)

            Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen (18) months

            90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)

  • Work experience in bookkeeping, office support, or closely related experience.
